Summary

Seerah Convention Doha Qatar. In this one hour talk the learned Sheikh addresses pre Hijra Makkah from the perspective of Islam and the treatment of the Prophet s.a.w. and early Muslims. We are reminded of the ethics of the Arabs and their steadfastness to culture. Then we are 'taken' on the trials and tribulations of the early Muslims and their firmness to the faith in the face of the cruelty that the Arabs threw upon them. A talk worth listening to remind ourselves that in times of hardship faith and will power are needed to ride the waves of persecution.

And so he was an honorable man known as Asadical Amin, the most truthful, the most honest. How many of us are known as honest trustworthy and truthful? That's a question I always ask myself.

If I want to be a follower of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, learn more about his Syrah and the Syrah here refers to his entire life.

2:20.0

I need to ask myself what have I learned from this? It's not good enough to just have the facts of history. Many of us would know a lot about the history but we've never thought about putting it into our lives or we've never thought about where we fit in.

2:38.0

So if he was known as honest trustworthy, believe me, today we have a difficulty with being honest and trustworthy. Our own spouses no longer trust us. Why? Because we have a problem.

2:54.0

Our family members don't trust us. Our communities don't trust us. When you see a Muslim businessman, people tell you be careful. It should not be the case. The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him prior to Prophethood was already known as the trustworthy. It was something that the Almighty had kept so that the day he came to declare that none was to be worshiped besides the Makar alone, they would not be able to accuse him of being a liar.

3:22.0

He was never known as a liar. If he did not lie, if he did not lie about money matters and materialistic items of this world, why would he lie about that from the heavens?

So one day as he was sitting and meditating, introspecting, thinking of what was going on, thinking of how solutions could be made possible for these people of Makar who were his own people, puray, etc.

Something happened. Something huge happened. It was not the first time he went up into the mount, into the cave of Heira. He had been there many times and he used to worry and have a concern about the evil that was taking place.

4:09.0

I pause again how many of us are concerned about the evil that is taking place or are we apart of that evil? That's a good question. Sometimes we are part of the problem.

4:21.0

We need to ask ourselves, here is a man, the best of creation, the most noble of all messengers of the Almighty and even prior to Prophethood he was already concerned about, the solutions to the problems that were being faced by the people.

4:36.0

I think it should encourage myself and yourself to think about solutions to problems that people are facing. No matter what those problems are, you need to introspect, you need to think, you need to discuss, you need to talk, you need to have a set of friends who are brilliant people because Muhammad peace be upon him, had beautiful friends even prior to Prophethood.

4:57.0

He had a people like Abu Bakr, a Sadidah, a Allah, who was also known as a person who never indulged in that which was intoxicating. That's just one example. He was also truthful, he was also an upright business person, he was young, Subhan Allah.

How many of us would be proud of the type of people we mix with, we interact with, sometimes we interact with people simply because they are wealthy but they have nothing besides the wealth.

5:26.0

Sometimes we interact with people simply because they are good looking, they have nothing besides looks. We need to ask ourselves when the Almighty is blessed us, would we be the best of friends for others?

5:38.0

I know some people ask me sometimes they say, well you know what, I don't know if I am in bad company or if they are in good company. Say for example, I am trying to lead a good life, I am trying to be honest, I am trying to be trustworthy and honesty begins with honesty towards your makeup by worshipping him alone.
