Welcome to our Wednesday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today I'm continuing a series that I started four and a half weeks ago.

I'm now into my fifth week of teaching on lessons from Elijah.

And I tell you this has been powerful.

I've said this often during this series but the Lord used scriptural examples to teach me right from wrong and to show me what's right and wrong.

I did not go out and experiment and learn everything through my own hard knocks.

And I know there's some people that think, well boy, you missed out on a lot.

And I really did.

I mean, I missed out on depression and sickness and venereal disease.

And there's just a lot that I've missed because I've studied and followed the Lord of God.

And man, I am so thrilled that I did.

I'm not against anybody else who's taken a different path.

But I'm telling you this is why God gave us the Word and told not only the good things that people did,

but I mean, he presented the good, the bad, and the ugly.

He showed all of the war.

It's all of the mistakes that people had so that we could learn through them.

And I have just learned volumes of things through the life of Elijah.
