Welcome to our Thursday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today, I'm nearing the end of my fourth week of teaching on lessons from Elijah.

I've got a book on this, a study guide, CDs, and DVDs that were taken from my television program.

And I tell you, this has been rich. This is powerful.

I have learned so much through the life of Elijah.

And just like it says over in 1 Corinthians 10, verse 6 through 11,

all of these things were written so that we could learn through them,

so that we could be inspired to do the good that came through them,

but also we could learn from the bad.

And Elijah is a person who saw great things happen.

Some of the greatest things that are recorded in Scripture happen through Elijah,

but Elijah also fell, fell big time.

And you can see that in 1 Kings chapter 19 is where he ran from Jezebel.

She sent a messenger with a note threatening to kill him.

I'm sure she wanted him dead, but if she could have killed him, she had just killed him.

She wouldn't have sent a messenger.
