Welcome to our Wednesday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

I'm right in the middle of my third week of teaching about Elijah.

And I tell you, I just love the things that God has shown me through the life of Elijah.

It says in 1 Corinthians chapter 10, verses 6 through 11,

that all of the things that were written about these people were written so that we could learn through them.

And man, I have learned lessons from Elijah.

I've got a book on this, a study guide, CDs and DVDs.

And we'll be offering those at the end of our program today.

But I've already covered a lot of material.

And at the end of yesterday's program, we were talking about this duel that Elijah had between him and the prophets of Bale.

They made a sacrifice, put wood under this animal that they had killed.

But they didn't put any fire with it.

And Elijah said, let the God, who is the true God, answer in a supernatural way, let fire fall from heaven.

And he even made it hard.

He poured 12 barrels of water over his sacrifice so that there would be no chance that this could have just happened by a spontaneous combustion.

And the prophets of Bale, they went through these things for 8 to 12 hours, cut themself until the blood gashed out.

They left on the altar, making themself a sacrifice offering their lives.
