Guidelines announced on the heels of several states enacting new operating hours and

restrictions for restaurants and bars.

At 8pm tonight, all movie theaters, gyms, and casinos across New York, New Jersey,

and Connecticut will close.

Life has drastically changed here in the United States from what we all considered normal

just a week ago.

Examples have been closed.

Many restaurants, bars, and movie theaters too, as authorities try to contain the spread

of the coronavirus.

While this may all feel strange and unsettling, over in China, conditions seem to be improving.

In some provinces, people who were previously in lockdown are slowly beginning to go back

to work.

We planned for a few days in Wuhan, but 29 hours in, the phone rang, the city was

going on lockdown, and we needed to get out.

CNN's David Culver was in China as the coronavirus outbreak began late last year.

He narrowly escaped Wuhan just before the city was put into lockdown on January 23.

In the moment, we really could not imagine how big this would get.
