Well, hello there. It's Morgan here and welcome to today's episode. Today is two of 30 of the poetry of

0:07.5

seemingly ordinary things. And I'm going to be talking about something called a window grill.

0:13.1

And this episode is particularly for anyone who has ever dealt with this that I've dealt with in my own life,

0:20.1

of feeling like you are stuck in a box,

0:22.8

whether you're feeling like somebody else has put you in a box or you're just feeling stuck in a

0:28.6

box in general, wherever that phrase stuck in a box, wherever that takes you, this is what that

0:35.2

is about. And this image that I have is something that I've seen everywhere

0:40.6

just in terms of windows. And I just want to share with you what I think about when I see these

0:46.5

windows and what I take away from it. And I hope that it can help you too if you find yourself

0:52.8

in that space where you feel stuck inside of some box.

0:58.2

1:22.4

And to me, that grid of little windows looks like so many different things. A social media profile with all of the

1:32.6

images laid out side by side. A wall of frames positioned side by side holding photos of different

1:39.8

moments of life. Even a yearbook with photos of students lined up in a row side by side. A filled out wall

1:48.3

calendar hanging up by a pushpin in the kitchen. All of these things are different things,

1:54.9

of course, but what they share in common is little windows, little frames lined up side by side. And there are so many times in

2:05.2

life where the grids in life feel so finite. And yet, in reality, they are just a few windows of

2:14.6

bitty. Sure, a completely filled out calendar can tell the story of a lot of things

2:21.8

that are happening in one's life, but it's not the whole story. Even if there are 10 things on a

2:28.6

calendar that day, there are many things in between that might not make that calendar.
