Well, hello there. It's Morgan here and welcome to today's episode. Today's episode is for the one who

0:05.3

might be feeling a little bit rushed or maybe feeling very rushed in life. This is something

0:11.6

that I personally deal with and I constantly have to return to this idea of slowing down and

0:19.4

not pressuring myself to always keep up with time, even as I hear the

0:24.4

clock ticking. So this is just something that I wanted to share with you that I've learned

0:29.5

when it comes to looking at a clock on the wall and how I've been kind of playing with that

0:34.6

image. So we all know that it is just far too easy to feel rushed

0:39.7

in our modern world. And as a poet and artists, I've always been very intrigued by the aesthetics

0:44.8

associated with time for this very reason. And I really try to spend a lot of time with it

because I want to try to visualize with

0:55.1

arts or words something different, even if it's only for a moment. So I've already written about

myself. And two, it's because this very precise image of a

1:14.0

clock, it really does encapsulate that feeling for me of like always needing to keep up with time.

1:23.6

So when I sit down to sketch a clock or paint one, I'm always observing where I'm choosing to

1:31.8

break the rules. So I've yet to ever paint any kind of hyper-realistic clock. So instead,

1:39.8

what I often do is as I am making those circles go round and around and around. Sometimes I'll

1:47.7

stop and I'll immediately lift up the pencil just to obscure that perfect circle or I'll add some of the

1:56.9

numbers and then I'll blur some of them out. And for me, even just this small activity,

2:03.4

it just gives me permission to say, hey, let's change this up for a little bit, even if it's

2:10.6

just for a few seconds, even if it's just for an art piece. And if you're listening to this

2:16.5

thinking, well, that's great for art,

...
