Picking right back up today in First Samuel chapters 21 through 24, we left off looking at the

beautiful friendship between David and Jonathan. And today we pick right back up

on David's narrative. And he's still on the run from Saul trying to pursue him. Of course,

Saul worried about David essentially getting a bunch of recognition that, of course, he would

And the fact that we even have this freedom to do it, we are so incredibly grateful. We know, Lord, that you have something to say to us every time we come to meet with you. And so we ask Holy Spirit

that you will do that, that you will still our hearts quiet, any of the noise that might be

in our minds, Lord. And we just ask Holy Spirit that your voice, your whisper will be louder than all

other things, that we will be able to hear you, Lord, that we will not be overwhelmed

by what we are reading today, but encouraged. I pray that the moment that you speak to us, Lord,

that we will take a second to stop in that and to listen to what it is that you are trying

to breathe through it. I pray that we will be open to hear it, Lord. So open our ears,

eyes, and hearts to receive this word today. Forgive us of our sins, cleanse our hearts, Lord, and let us be holy and righteous before you. We love you. Thank you, Jesus, for all that you have done for us. We are so incredibly grateful. We pray these things in your name. Amen. Okay, it is 3.54 am.
