As some of you already know, there are many different accents in Chinese, right?

People from the north of China and south of China sometimes may not understand each other

because they speak different dialects of Chinese.

Mandarin Chinese or Pothonghua is the only common and official dialect used everywhere in China

and it's based on the northern Chinese dialects. If you happen to be in China, the language accent that you will hear

depends on which province or city you will go,

and this may affect your understanding ability.

In our podcast lessons, we will try to bring Chinese language speakers from various parts of China to help you hear and get used to different kinds of accents.

So without even going to China, you will be exposed to various nuances of Mandarin Chinese spoken by real Chinese

people who come from Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Guangzhou or other places.
