I know it's maybe a little different from our normal, but at the same time, I feel like

this is the perfect kind of episode for comedy nerds more so than anything else.

And definitely a comedy nerd such as myself. I grew up on watching Leslie Nielsen, um, helmed, feature

film comedies. I. I don't know.

It's, it's, it's, these movies have meant so much to me.

Like as a kid, why this is these, as I said to Jake before we started, these are dad movies.

These are the quintessential dad movies.

I know this because when I tried to watch some of these movies with Marie over the

over the past week, she said, no, my dad forced me to watch these movies.

And I didn't like being forced to watch these movies.

But more than that, this, what really blew my mind is that this is what I feel like

is my favorite thing about doing this show with you, Holden, mind is that, uh, this is what I feel like is my favorite thing

about doing this show with you Holden, which is taking these just kind of faded memories

from my childhood and taking these kind of cultural touchstones, these, these works of, of pop

art and actually going back and examining them with like clear eyes and full knowledge

and you know revealing the layers of meaning and weird twists underneath them uh and i we honestly

would have never chosen this as a topic yes if it wasn't for our patrons our patrons this is uh robert
