| 0:00.0 | All right, here it is your Maxis Tires Pre-Rase Show for Léje with Chris Kill Murray. |
| 0:08.8 | Maxis is synonymous with racing and is the name that comes to mind when you think of performance. |
| 0:13.4 | It's no surprise then that they have won more than any other brand in the history of World Cut Racing. |
| 0:18.1 | No matter where or how you ride, Maxis has the tyres for you |
| 0:21.5 | with a wide range of tread patterns, casing and compound options. On my Enjuro bike, I run the DHR2 Max Terra Double Down on the rear, paired up with the Assegai Max grip up front, using the slightly lighter XO plus casing, which I find is tough enough for pretty much all the riding I do, but I did upgrade to the double down on the front this week for riding in Mawseye. |
| 0:39.8 | The downhill bike has D.H.R.2 find it's tough enough for pretty much all the riding I do, but I did upgrade to the double down on |
| 0:37.7 | the front this week for riding in Morsi. The downhill bike has DHR2, front and rear, both DHS with their super grippy max grip compound. You can check out the entire range of Maxis tires over at maxis.com and find the tires at your local Maxis dealer. You can also give them a follow on Instagram where they're at |
| 0:54.2 | Maxis Bike. All right, round five is upon us and this time we're in the French Alpine resort of Lejeet. |
| 1:00.3 | We talk about how the season is developing, the changes to the track, the potential for |
| 1:04.5 | aero and electronic gains and plenty more. Leje is no doubt going to provide some amazing racing, |
| 1:10.0 | so without further ado, here's your Maxis Tires pre-race show with Chris Kilmurray. Chris Kilmurray, welcome back to the downtime podcast. We're live in Leje in person for the first time this year. How's things? I'm back. No, you're back. Welcome. |
| 1:43.6 | Actually, Legeet isn't home. Lejeet is like, we slag Legeau off quite a lot down in Moorzine. For multiple reasons, yeah. Like, not the, not the foreign people, but actually the locals. The Moxignois and the Jeterre. And there's a bit of a rivalry. There's a bit of a beef. There's a lot of beef in this power of the world. It's quite funny. |
| 1:45.2 | Literally 10 minutes apart, right? |
| 2:51.2 | Yeah, 10 minutes apart, but different post codes, different, because it's quite different, quite different. Saint-Gendos and Morsin are quite connected. Okay. And then Leger is just like, no, no, we're not going to talk about it. Especially because all the people from Geneva and Paris and stuff buy a lot of property up here, so the property prices are crazy. So now everyone's just like, nah, Lejeet, no, not the one. Nice. Well, before we talk about Leje this week, let's reflect back a little bit on the last race in Valdeau because it was an exciting one for sure, as always, I guess. and a win for Taney. It's been a while, huh? Like, that's a big deal for Tani to come through what she's done and get back to that point. Yeah, 176 days I counted. And then, I don't know if they stole my stat and broke it, but Warner Brothers counted it as 1077. So I'm not sure who's correct. You need to go back actually and find out who is more correct. I like being correct, you know. Maybe there's a leap year thing. Yeah, maybe there was a leap year. I forgot about potentially, yeah. But I asked Google. Google should know. No, it was an amazing win. She won the race basically in the only way she could, which was by dominating the top two sectors. |
| 2:56.3 | With the exception of 2017 there when she won a pretty convincing victory, |
| 3:00.6 | she's never been super, super strong in sector four. |
| 3:02.9 | So kind of like the beginning of the bottom sections. |
| 3:05.5 | Just not kind of tannies thing. |
| 3:07.3 | Probably should be her thing at this stage but it's not um so yeah after |
| 3:10.0 | getting absolutely smoked in semi-finals she had a lot of time to find around 12 to 14 seconds there |
| 3:15.7 | thereabouts um on first place um I wasn't happy about it but just got to work as she's as she's |
| 3:22.9 | done previously in the past but I think she felt this one was insurmountable, unclimable, unattainable. |
