Hey everyone back to Whiskey Riffraff. I'm Shelby. My name's Quinn. And today we are having a little bit of a special episode. Special is the

right way to describe it. I have been calling it a two for one special or maybe you can call it a

Bogo episode, right? And you don't even have to buy it. So that's not even accurate either. But

yeah, we're combining two like rising artists and we're putting a spotlight on both of them at the same time.

And I think it's going to be really cool for listeners to have these two artists package

together.

I agree.

And the two artists are Leon Meissen and Sam Stone, who actually have a song together.

So it kind of just made sense for this one as well.

We're excited to sit down with both of them and kind of just hear about, you know, whatever's going on with their music careers and whatever comes to mind.

Right. And it's always interesting. We have all kinds of different artists that come in that we get to talk to. But these conversations that we have with these up and coming artists are

always interesting because i feel like you really get to hear uh somewhat of an origin story so um

definitely the case for sam stone we got a lot uh with her and uh leon's episode as well it's a great

interview too so we're doing leon's episode first. Yes. Correct?

So should we introduce? We'll do Leon's, and then we'll say, hey, we're all wrapped up there now for this one. That's how we're going to wrap it up or we're going to put it together. Correct. But before we lead into Leon's episode, I do want to ask you, I know we haven't done this a while. What song do you have on repeat right now?

Oh, man, put me on the spot. I know. I guess I'll answer with Kentucky Too Long by Charlie Crockett. So it's no secret that I like Charlie Crockett. He put out a new

song that's going to lead into his newest album, the Stage Brush trilogy or whatever it is, part three. I am always up for a

Charlie Crockett song, so I've listened that one a couple times. I'm from Kentucky, too, so I don't

necessarily relate to it. I've never felt like I've been in Kentucky too long, but it's a good

song, and I'm looking forward to more from Charlie. What about you? Mine would be probably Drive by Clay Street Unit. I was just telling you how I got to see them live on Valentine's Day at the Basement East. And they were awesome, so I've kind of been playing them ever since. So that would be mine. Clay Street Unit and Red Clay Strays. Will they ever work together? Ooh. A lot of clay together. That probably wouldn't work. I don't know. I didn't put that together. Two very different bands, but both very great. Stream of conscience here. I'm just talking out loud. But yeah, that's a band that I need to dive into more because you were saying that it's kind of a jam jam country band, and I'm there for that. Yeah, a mix of like, I expected like very like bluegrass, straightforward, but it definitely gave a little bit more jam band. And from Denver, which I thought was very random. Yeah.
