0:25.3	It's found in two gospels, Luke chapter 6, verses 6 through 10, and also in Mark, chapter 3 versus 1 through 6.
0:34.0	I'm going to read the version out of Luke. Here we go.
0:37.6	On another Sabbath, he entered the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was withered.
0:45.4	And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath
0:50.6	so that they might find a reason to accuse him.
0:56.1	But he knew their thoughts,
1:03.0	and he said to the man with the withered hand, come and stand here. And he rose and stood there, and Jesus said to them, I ask you, is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm,
1:10.7	to save life, or to destroy it. And after looking around
1:15.1	at them all, he said to him, stretch out your hand. And he did so, and his hand was restored. But they were
1:24.0	filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.
1:31.2	And this miracle, what happened? Well, basically, Jesus restored a man's hand from being paralyzed
1:38.9	or shriveled up, deformed. he restored it back to its original function.
1:46.4	And the context of what's going on here, a couple things that we want to note.
1:50.4	First of all, this happens in the synagogue.
1:53.8	The synagogue is a place where worship happened in the communities around Israel.
