Welcome to our Lent podcast.

Hey, my name is Jesse Stoniker.

This Lent season, we're working through some of the

0:21.6

miracles of Jesus shared with us across the gospel accounts. We're looking at how each of these

0:27.4

miracles points us to the greatest of all miracles, which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the

0:31.7

dead. The miracle of Jesus we are focused on today is found in Luke 4, 40 through 41.

and nothing more. While the story is hard to wrap our minds around, I trust that someone as factual as

1:35.1

Luke would give it to us straight, and I trust that the Lord was intentional to share this

1:39.4

encounter with us through his perspective. If we flip back to the verse 31 through 37, where Jesus' first

1:46.6

enters Campanium, we were fortunate enough to witness Jesus' healing power over evil in more

1:51.6

detail. Verse 31 begins, and he went down to Coparnium, a city of Galilee, and he was teaching them on the Sabbath,

2:02.5

and they were astonished at his teaching for his word possessed authority.
