Hello and welcome to the She Reads Truth podcast. She reads Truth creates beautiful, accessible Bible reading plans and resources to help you get into God's Word every day. Each week here on the podcast, we talk about what we're going to read together as a community this week. I'm your host, Rachel Myers. And I'm your other host, Amanda Bible Williams. Friends, this is the

0:21.4

seventh and final week of our Lent series. We have been reading the Psalms for Lent, and I'm just

0:28.5

feeling really grateful as we prepare to close the book of Psalms and make the turn to Holy Week.

0:35.7

I'm so thankful for this time that we've had together as a community

0:39.8

in this really rich book of the Bible. That's the word that is coming to mind. This rich book

0:47.5

of the Bible, it is such a gift from the Lord. And I've loved reading it with you. So thank you

0:52.3

for joining us. We're joined today by our friend

0:55.5

Tara Sun. Tara is an author and a speaker. She has a heart for equipping women with the tools

1:01.3

to know, love, and live God's Word. Amen to that. Her latest book is called Overbooked and Overwound.

1:07.8

It came out last year. And then she has a Bible study coming out with

1:11.3

Lifeway next year in January. And in the meantime, Tara uses her platform and her voice and her life

1:18.2

to point to Jesus. And I appreciate that so much about her. This was a sweet conversation as we

1:24.4

near the end of the Psalms and head into Holy Week. So let's get right to it.

1:32.7

Tara, son, first of all, happy birthday. Thank you. Yeah. As we're recording this, it is my birthday.

1:39.0

And I can't imagine like a more fun thing on the calendar to celebrate. So thanks.

1:42.9

I love it. I would sing, but it's best that we don't. But seriously, I love this. And obviously, we're recording this in advance of when it airs, so it's March 30th isn't your birthday. But happy birthday. Can I ask what year this is? This is year 27. Oh, yes. Right? 27. What a good year. 27. And okay, I know that this may sound silly. And then where I say this to people that are a few years or even 10, 20 years above me, they just kind of laugh.

2:08.1

But for me, because this is the only context I know, 27 feels kind of big because I realize I'm like closer and closer to 30.

2:15.8

Like 26, even 25, I'm like, you know, like, you know, we're halfway there.

2:19.6

It's fine. Now I'm like, oh, we are happening. We are there. But then I realize like, yeah, it makes sense. I'm almost 30. I got two kids. There's been a lot of life. Yeah, of course I'm almost 30. So we're embracing it, you know? I love it. And what a sweet way to spend a little bit of the day.

2:34.1

We're not going to keep you for too long,

2:35.6

but we're going to get to close? I love it. And what a sweet way to spend a little bit of the day.

2:38.0

We're not going to keep you for too long, but we're going to get to close out the book of Psalms with the community, and we're going to get to kind of go through Holy Week together,
