Hey friends, Rachel here. I want to tell you a couple of things before we start this week's episode.

First, I want to let you know that we recorded this episode a couple of weeks ago. So it was before

the coronavirus became a global pandemic and many of us were quarantined or social distanced in our homes.

So you're not going to actually hear any mention of that very current event in any of our remaining

episodes, but we just want to let you know that that's not because we're not walking this right

along with you. And second, in these really weird and uncertain times, it feels worth pointing out

that there are things that are absolutely certain. And one of those things is that God is in control

and that he is specifically kind. We had no way of knowing that the world would be where it is in

suffering the way that it is way back when we planned this Jeremiah reading plan. But you guys

got new and he gave us these words to read this week. Tens of thousands of us around the world

are reading the book of Jeremiah and we're being reminded of what it was like for God's people

in exile and we're being reminded of how faithful and in control God was through all of that.

These are the reminders that we need this week and we never could have planned it this way. So

want to let you know those two things and I'm so excited for you to enjoy this really special episode.
