Anyway, this is a bonus episode of the podcast.

I'm just going to talk for about five, ten minutes or so about the moves on Friday because

there was a flurry of them.

They were all pretty much expected.

But let's get to it.

So Washington released tackle Charles Leno, tight end Logan Thomas, and they told Senator Nick

Gates that at the start of the league year, they were going to release him.

All totaled, it's about $14 million in savings.

And so let's go reach one.

For Leno, that represents $7.28 million. Now, if they designated it

post June 1st, it would be 11.78 million. However, keep in mind on this one, you don't need the

cap space. You're going to do that if you really need the cap space. And, you know, so you can get

rid of all his stuff in one year. So to me, that would be the best way to go and just rip that band-aid off and not occupy

space for the next year.

Because with that $7.28 million, they're still going to be around $90 million

under the salary cap.
