The fear he unleashed on the land has been palpable since election day.

All right, so let's start this interview with you by talking about me.

And by that I mean it was during an interview with veteran British journalist John Snow of channel four that he asked me how I was feeling in the aftermath of the election of now President Trump.

This was a few days after the election,

and I started crying.

And we were on the show together.

Since then, lots of Trump supporters had less than compassionate things to say.

What did you think in that moment when I started losing my composure.

First thing I wanted to do is reach out and hug you,

but I couldn't do that because you were in DC and I was in Detroit.

I remember feeling deeply emotional inside and wanting to comfort you a man that I'd never met and I just wanted to reassure you that everything was going to be okay.
