Leland lives one hill over for me in East Callis.

I interviewed Leland last year when he was 10,

and I've gotten some letters from listeners wondering

what he's up to and how he's been.

Leland's pretty protective of his time in the afternoon after school,

but he did agree to come over and talk with me about what's on his mind these days. So here's

Leland. Have you been following the presidential election lead up?

Yeah.

I've been trying to watch as many of the debates as possible,

but obviously because they're late,

I can't watch all of them more so on the

Democratic side because I want Bernie Sanders to him because he's in Vermont he's

from Vermont and I'm from Vermont.

What do you think about the Republican candidates?

Uh, that they have kind of dumb reasons. They want to be president.

Like Donald Trump wants to build a wall but he's making

the Mexicans pay for it with all of his money he should just pay for it. Do you think that there should be a wall? Yes and no. I think that it's good to keep a legal immigrant, but it might be harder for people who are trying to come

to America illegally.

It might be harder for them to get to America. Because of the wall.
