Tonight we're going to be going to be looking in the book of Second Chronicles chapter 20.

The title of my message tonight will be the significance of prayer and of worship.

I want to start in the book of John chapter 17 verses 5 through 9.

Shortly before Jesus was going to the cross he

prayed this if you don't have your Bibles you can look on the screen as a and now

O Father glorify me together with yourself with the glory which I had with you before the world was.

I have manifested your name to the men who you have given me

and out of the world.

They were yours.

You gave them to me.

And they have kept your word.

Now they have known that all things which you have given me are from you for I have given to them the

words which you gave you have given me and they have received them and have

known surely that I came forth from you and they have believed that you sent me. I pray for them. I pray for them.

I do not pray for the world but for those whom you have given me

for they are yours. Jesus said in John

chapter 15 verses 5 through 9, I am the vine, you are the branches, and he who abides in me and I am him bears much fruit. For without me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered, and they gathered them

and threw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in me

and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it should be done for you.

By this my Father is

glorified that you bear much fruit so you will be my disciples. As the Father

loved me I also love you. Abide in my love. We can stay connected to Jesus, the divine, through prayer.
