Welcome to Dedicated. I'm your host doug d'n brunt today we're talking with lee bardugo lee became a big star with her young adult

novels collectively known as the grishiverse novels which have been adapted into the hit

tv show on netflix called shadow and bone 2019, she made her adult fantasy novel debut

with The Ninth House, which Stephen King called, and I quote, the best fantasy novel I've read

in years. The Ninth House is currently being adapted for film by Amazon, and Lee is now out

with the sequel to the Ninth House called Hell Bent, which is already getting rave reviews everywhere you look.

I have to admit, I've seen your lineup, and I'm pretty intimidated.

So it is nice to be among so many luminaries.

Oh, my gosh.

Well, I have to say, I checked out your Instagram feed and I don't think

anyone else in our lineup has 600,000 Instagram followers. I think our listeners should know Lee is the

kind of writer who has people lining up on the sidewalk outside Barnes and Noble on the,

on her publication day to make sure they get a copy. I'm not sure that the feather in my cap,

and maybe it just means I'm online too much.
