Pioneering rock journalist Lisa Robinson will never run out of stories.

Over the past 40 years, she's interviewed everyone from John Lennon, to Lady Gaga, to Jay-Z and M&M.

She even sat down with an 11-year-old Michael Jackson years before he became the King of Pop.

Lisa's career started in the 1970s, when she embedded on massive world tours with Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones.

In the decade since, she's party with Bowie, Dindwith Beyoncé, and talked through the night with Joni Mitchell.

In today's interview, Rick Rubin reminisces with Lisa, an old friend, about her storied career.

She has a lot to say about everything, including how she and her husband, music producer Richard Robinson, practically lived at CBGBs in the mid-70s.

And why she felt compelled to write her latest book, called Nobody Ever Asked Me About The Girls.

That is a portion of my original cassettes and my CDs that Richard made back up copies of 5,000 hours of digitized interviews.

That is only a portion that's not a virtual background. That's real. In there are the John Lennon, Michael Jackson, Led Zeppelin, Adele, Rihanna, Beyonce, I mean, Romy Madley Croft, Princess, everybody from 1972 to the present day.

And that is only a portion of them. And Richard also put it on a computer. We backed it up on another computer. I backed it up on three external hard drives that are in three separate secure locations.

And I just want to get rid of all of it, Rick. I swear to God.

I have four storage spaces that I have been storing all of this shit, not my tapes, but posters and memorabilia and t-shirts and antiques pictures and barbruns pictures and original photos from cream, rock scene, hithorator, four storage spaces, $50,000 a year for over 20 years.

So that's over a million point three that I've invested into holding on to all this crap. And then I have more in my house, more in my office across the street.
