Almanac. My name is Andy and god damn I hate that we seem to be teetering on the edge of the

fictional collapse that we used to start the episodes with. I mean you did say

coffee prices would spike and the military would be going city by city. You just

didn't call it with ice and also the

National Guard from Texas. Love that for us. We're just doing so good. And today, not to date

ourselves, but Trump announced that he's banning free speech by saying that we can't burn flags. So,

you know, if you got one, light them up. Awesome.

So today we're going to be diving into one of the most brutal and transformative

conflicts of the 16th century Irish history.

The one you've all heard of before, the Desmond Rebellions.

To backtrack a bit, we've historically done for our seasons, usually like some plant, ag

content, and then we go the second half of the season into

history. We did that last season. We ended with the homesteading history story. But given the

state of the world, it felt really important to dive into history first.
