Why pull our punches? I am joined right now by Adam Smith by Paul Cobb and by Dan Ostens to talk

about the fact that Liverpool didn't pull their punches down. They love a goal goal.

I mean, that'd be up for them having scored three lots of two against teams that could only

sit in the bottom half, but that's about Liverpool's way this season. They would much rather

get six out of the way all in one go. They could go from no goals against the bottom half side to

six goals against the bottom half side. But first I want to say I thought the first 30 were almost

just pleasing obviously in hindsight to a degree. That's what you get after the fact because

I think for amongst the first times this season as a ground like Ellyn Road, Liverpool get

through 30 minutes with nothing daft and with a fair amount of calmness and a fair amount of

control. Yeah, very little happened. There was the free kick from which Rodrigo had to head

out and he probably should have done better with. And he probably was offside, but it was clear.

It wasn't given in the ground. I don't think then there's no need to look at it. So that was the

only thing where you felt anything. Well, felt anything actually probably I would say. There was

little thrill and there was little peril and that was fine. Given that in an awful lot of these

games Liverpool have played in I.A. I was a forest. Plenty of the other ones born with the

conceded in either the first half or the start of the second. And it just felt awful from then on.

So the fact that they were able to do the sensible stuff early and then once they felt like they'd

settle the crowd down and kind of taken any early belief that they had made out of themselves

away, then they were able to relax a little bit and play their own stuff out of the pitch.
