We are not under the Mosaic Covenant. So why do we think that we can just take straight off the page these laws about tithes and offerings and just plonk them straight down into a New Testament context.

We don't do that with animal sacrifices. That's obvious. Why do we think it's obvious that you can just pick up the bits of the Old Testament about tithing and plunk them down into our modern context?

We can't do that because we are now under

a new covenant, a different covenant. There may be continuities, but the actual concrete applications

may well be different under a different covenant.
