I'm Mick Garrus, and this is Postmortem.

I'm lucky enough to visit film festivals all around the world.

It's an opportunity to be exposed to so many wonderful imaginative forays

into horror cinema that come from different countries,

different cultures, different dark fantasies.

A community of international filmmakers gathered to show,

to watch and to experience the talents that often don't make their way

into the American cinemas or streamers.

There's so many great genre films that don't fit into the particular

commercial demands of these platforms,

and the world is all the poorer for it.

It's great to see this broad canvas of styles and expressions

of the art of terror on the big screen with an audience

as the gods of film intended.
