And today we are discussing Lee Cronin's The Mummy from 2026, written and directed by Lee Cronin, starring Jack Rayner, Leia Costa, May Kalamawi, Natalie Grace.

And in this film, a family's missing daughter is discovered

eight years later, partially mummified in a sarcophagus. If you're new to the show, we're going

to talk about this movie. Spoiler-free, just background info for the first 15 minutes or so.

But after that, we're going to transition into spoiler mode, where we will walk through the plot

in detail, spoiling it as we go. We'll kind of review it as we go and then give a rating at the

One of those reviews, I think from Tuesday Twin, said that this movie has an identity crisis.

And I think before we get too far into the plot and spoiling things, it's just strange

right off the bat.

It's called full title, Lee Cronin's The Mummy.

And you don't often see a director's name in the title of the movie.

It was apparently Jason Blum's idea to do it.

Cronin was unsure about it at first.

I think that having the name in the title was a way to avoid confusion with previous

mummy films.

My big question is, why put mummy in the name at all?
