Last night the Connerly trophy was awarded and I've got some things to say about that I do and all due

respect to Patrick Shigog he would not have been my vote just gonna say it for

what it is now here's the deal Patrick Shigog obviously you know out of baseball

Mississippi I played at Delta State. He was

originally committed to Tulane. Had a big year. There's no doubt about it. 2,618 yards passing

32 touchdowns against two pigs. That's an incredible ratio there. He ran for 690 yards and 12

touchdowns. And the first trophy for a Delta

state statesman defying okra since 1996 when Josh Bright wanted also South Panola got.

But here's what I would say. Boogie Watson should have won the award.

And to be honest with you, it shouldn't have been close.

All due respect to Patrick Shigaga.

They got nothing against that guy at all, period.

But guys, Buki Watson is leading the Southeastern Conference

and tackles.

Jett Johnson did it last year.

Buki was second.

Their first and second this year just flip-flop the order.
