we're at just after 8 o'clock on Thursday evening local time, Israeli airstrikes hit two adjacent densely packed

neighborhoods in the capital Beirut. At that time of night, many residents would have been in

their homes or on the streets.

Lebanon's health ministry says at least 22 people have been killed and more than a hundred wounded.

The BBC spoke to a doctor outside one hospital which had received some of the casualties.

Dr could I ask are the people you're treating civilians as far as you can see?

Every single one we received was a civilian.
