| 0:00.0 | Welcome. I'm Kevin Miller and I have conversations with people that help us make better meaning of our lives. |
| 0:07.8 | In this episode, leaving the massive output of early life for the wise input of the second half. |
| 0:16.8 | So out of the 1700 shows and hundreds of people I've had on the podcast, I often get asked, |
| 0:24.1 | often when I'm a guest on somebody else's show, what shows really stood out? |
| 0:29.0 | And my answer usually goes to shows where a message had a particular impact on my life at that |
| 0:36.7 | specific time. |
| 0:38.3 | So my first, one of them is my first conversation with Arthur Brooks. |
| 0:42.3 | It was about the message in his book, Strength to Strength, Finding Success, Happiness, and Deep Purpose in the Second Half of Life. |

| 1:52.8 | and conquer the world, in essence. But that wiring decreases in strengths for those |
| 1:58.2 | activities over time. Doesn't mean it goes away, but it decreases. |
| 2:03.4 | And now I have the wiring that is, in essence, earned by all that effort. |
| 2:08.9 | I now have so much knowledge and experience to impart. |
| 2:12.9 | I have guidance and wisdom to offer. |
| 2:16.3 | And it works this way in my life today where in the past, |
