And what we're going to do is talk about the fact that at the end of it all, being people who possess God's promises, we need to know that it is not just about what God promised us, but God's will

for our lives really has to do with God's promises down through the generations.

And so I can't wrap up our study here in the book of Joshua without pointing out the fact

that as Joshua was getting old and getting ready to die, his concern was that the people

of God he had led to experience the promises of God in the land of Canaan that they understood that it is

about legacy. Legacy means leaving something substantial, something valuable for those coming behind
