Summary

(Genesis 50:14-20) If we want our story to end in victory, we must leave all the details of our life in God's hands. This lesson teaches us more then just giving it to God, it teaches us to leave it with Him. (06226220921)  Join Scott Pauley's study through Scripture this year. As we've studied the life of Joseph with Scott Pauli, we've learned that this study isn't necessarily about Joseph,

0:14.0

but instead about the God who was with Joseph, even in the darkest of circumstances.

0:20.0

As you look at your own circumstances through the eyes of faith, do you recognize God's

presence?

0:26.6

Oh, that we could learn to live in the presence of God.

One of the reasons that I love studying the characters of the Bible is that, of course, they're given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God, but they're given as definite examples for us. Some are positive,

I believe that's why Genesis 50 is given to us at the end of Joseph's story,

1:19.5

because though these are lesser known days, it's not lesser in importance.

1:24.5

Every day matters until the day you see the Lord face to face.

1:28.5

And Genesis 50 is helping us know how to finish well. We've learned a first principle in the

first 13 verses, and it is this, if you're going to finish your course with joy, you're going

1:39.9

to have to remember those who taught you and honor those people. Thank God for those people. They're not

perfect. You know, there's a tendency in our cancel culture age to pick people to pieces, to find

1:52.5

every bad thing they've ever said or done, and then to make that the defining thing on their

life. I would caution you about that because remember that you reap what you sow.

2:06.0

And so, by the grace of God, the Lord has helped all of us fallen sinners.

2:11.0

And aren't you grateful for the Jacobs the Lord has brought into your life,
