Schu and is based on the novel of the same name leaving Las Vegas by John

O'Brien which is semi-autobiographical about his life.

Did you know that he was born and raised in Oxford, Ohio, Jim?

It's less an hour away from where we live and like I said this movie is based on a book that's semi

Automographical about his life and his struggle with alcohol and you should probably know if you've never seen this movie before what you're getting into because this this person

blew their heads off about two weeks before or two weeks after this film was optioned

from his book because of his crippling depression and I guess the fact that

he found drinking himself to death to be entirely too slow and inefficient a

process. This is a this is a bleak, bleak movie. It's it's it's

it's very uncomfortable and unpleasant that parts to watch and difficult.

Have you seen this movie before and what did you think of it?

No, this is the first time I've seen it.

It's Nicholas Cage, so I've always had like an inkling of, oh, maybe I'll go watch it at some point.

And I had heard that this is the one he won the Oscar for, and I was like, are you fucking kidding me how could Nicholas case like it must be in an off year right it must have been

just like there was nothing else out I kind of think it was though wasn't it it's like this year you know there the eight movies were

released and so one can slip through the cracks but it turns out this movie is

excellent and Nicholas Cage is excellent Elizabeth shoe is excellent they the I don't know I went into it not really knowing what to expect other than I had been warned that it is dark. It is bleak and sad and that is true, but I also found it extremely gripping.
