Absolutely. I'd love to hear a little bit about your backstory and your journey to become who you are today.

Well, I grew up in British Columbia, Canada in a small town in the Canadian Rockies and took off and went to college in Vancouver where I got my degree in design and marketing.

I worked for a while with tours in Canada and had a great time traveling.

We're telling everybody why they need to come visit us up in Canada,

the Great White North, which eventually led me

to work for a sporting goods chain, designing and setting up and teaching their

staff about their products. And that eventually brought me to California

where we opened up a chain of stores down here. I did that for about two years and then on my one trip I happened to meet my now ex-husband and when I went back to Canada, you know, I figured we were done it was you know it was a fun summer romance type of thing and they brought me back to California for another about three months and at that point I never went back.

Married and kind of the rest became history.

Once I got married and we started a family I was blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home mom and in between that time I used the talents that I acquired to do things within my kids school. I became an active volunteer within the

community and ended up being the executive director of the local museum here

which I absolutely loved. It kind of allowed me to enjoy my passion for history learning about where I was now living. But it also allowed me to do a little bit of the design work and helping set up displays and marketing it and setting up programs to include, be more inclusive within our community.
