We're going to go together to Mark 10. It's not going to be typical Damon two and a half hours for you this morning.

But I am going to share some things with you that I believe the Holy Spirit woke me up with this morning

that I thought maybe were for this evening but I think it's for you guys.

Mark 10.

I'll take it. Matthew 19 and Luke 18. a story of one that we call the rich young ruler. The

rich young ruler. The reason is because if we look at what we call the synoptic Gospels, which is Matthew

Mark and Luke, that is a synopsis of three different perspectives of the same events. So if you take Matthew's account, Mark's

account, and Luke's account, we can through deduction, determine that this story is about a rich man.

There's the rain.

Good timing.

It's about a young man and it's about a rich young man who is a ruler.

Arcosis that word ruler and it literally means one who has political power or authority, one who is qualified governmentally to rule.

So let's look at Mark 10 and we're going to start reading in verse 17, if you got your Bibles.

Mark 10, 17, says, as Jesus started on his way, a man came running up to him, excuse me, kneeling down in front of him.

He cried out, good teacher, what one thing am I required to do to gain eternal life.
