0:14.0	As we study through the life of John the Baptist, we will discover why God used him in such a powerful way.
0:20.0	Join us now for today's study. We've been making a journey over the last several weeks with one of my favorite
0:47.8	Bible characters, a man that I've come to know in a greater way and love and admire,
0:53.3	a man I'm looking forward to meeting
0:54.5	someday. I've met him only on the pages of scripture, but he's real and the truth from his
0:59.7	life is real. This man is John the Baptist. I hope you've enjoyed this journey with me. We've
1:05.1	come now to the end of John's life. He will shortly die. He will shortly give a message to Herod, that Herod, and more
1:13.8	important, Herod's wife, his family members will not appreciate, and it will cost him his life.
1:20.6	One day, one unnamed day, we don't know exactly when it was. John the Baptist will beheaded.
1:26.6	And that will be the end, oh, but not the end. No, a glorious
1:29.7	beginning to that eternal glory that John entered into. And the wonderful thing is that John
1:35.8	finished well. That didn't finish well because it was easy. His life was hard from start to finish.
1:42.0	Most of us are so everlasting spoiled. We don't know what real struggle and sacrifice is.
1:47.8	But John the Baptist did, especially as he neared the end.
1:51.2	The Bible says in Matthew 11, verse 2,
1:53.3	when John had heard in the prison, the works of Christ,
1:57.2	he sent two of his disciples and said unto him,
1:59.5	art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
2:03.3	And Jesus answered and said unto them,
2:05.3	Go and show John again those things, which he do hear and see.
2:08.8	Sometimes we need to hear it again, don't we?
