There are seasons in life where we have been so stressed and our nerves, our bodies, our minds, our resources, just stretch to the breaking point.

And you have to learn yourself well enough to know when you're getting there. We've all been

there at times. But it is a wise person that not only discerns it, but knows what to do when

that time comes. In Mark chapter 6 in this journey with the Lord Jesus,

the Lord recognizes in his disciples their need for rest.

Now there's a time to work.

Praise God, there's a time to work.

We have a generation of people who've lost so much work ethic

that they want to have recreation all the time. That's one extreme.

But on the other extreme, you have people that are pushing themselves to the breaking point

that do not know what it is to rest for the Lord. We talk about working for the Lord, but when was

the last time you rested for the Lord and rested with the Lord? In Mark

6, two things have happened. One, the disciples have been out on a very intense ministry time.

A mission the Lord sent them on. They've been fighting the devil. And after those times,

you need rest. Not only that, John the Baptist has been put to death. He's been beheaded.

That record is given to us in Mark chapter number six. And without doubt, there are heavy things

weighing on the hearts and minds of Christ and his disciples. And perhaps that's where you are.
