Well, it's only just a matter of. ever since, ever since we've got you left. Welcome to Middays, I'm Susie Larsen.

So honored to get to spend this time with you.

In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully inspire you in your faith walk,

that deep in your understanding of God's Word, that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life. So here's a question for you.

When someone asks you what you believe and why, what do you say to them? Do you feel equipped

to defend your faith in a humble, knowledgeable way? Or do you get tripped up, become defensive

because you feel ill-prepared? We're going to be talking about apologetics today,

about the importance of defending your faith. But I want you to hear this, and I know you'll hear it

from my guest as well. This is not about setting theological traps for people. It's not about asking

gotcha questions. I'm seeing that all over social media. Like people are baiting people into debates

to show them how smart they are. There's no love in that. That's noise.

But when people ask about the hope that's within us, first of all, our lives need to display that

there's actually a hope, a humble hope, that we would answer with gentleness and respect. We're

equipped so that we're not put into a place of being defensive and reactionary. Well, I can't think of

anybody better to equip us

and talk to us about this today than Lee Strobel. He's just one of my favorite guys to interview,

and I'm just so honored he's given us time today. We're going to be talking about apologetics.

We're going to draw from one of his amazing, well-known classics, The Case for Christ,

but also he's got a new book out, the Miracle, the Miracles answer book.
