First Peter chapter 2, verse 10 says this.

Once you're not a people, in other words, you don't have any identity.

You're kind of nothing. But now you're the people of God.

Now that has profound implications.

When you accept Christ in your life, you become part of this family.

That family, by the way, is called the church.

The church is the family of God on earth. It's going to go to heaven.

The church is the only thing that's going to last forever. God's family.

And you know what? God's father is not ashamed of his family.

Look upon the screen what this verse says. Hebrews chapter 2 verse 11 says this.

The New Living Translation. Jesus and the ones He makes holy have the same father
