TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

PROVERBS 8:22-31 - “The Lord possessed me at the beginning of his work, the first of his acts of old. 23 Ages ago I was set up, at the first, before the beginning of the earth. 24 When there were no depths I was brought forth, when there were no springs abounding with water. 25 Before the mountains had been shaped, before the hills, I was brought forth,2 6 before he had made the earth with its fields, or the first of the dust of the world. 27 When he established the heavens, I was there; when he drew a circle on the face of the deep, 28 when he made firm the skies above, when he established the fountains of the deep, 29 when he assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters might not transgress his command, when he marked out the foundations of the earth, 30 then I was beside him, like a master workman, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing before him always,31 rejoicing in his inhabited world and delighting in the children of man.

0:09.8	where you and I get our minds aligned with the truth of God's word.
0:14.7	For this day, let's not think too far ahead.
0:17.8	Let's just think about the next 24 hours
0:19.6	and getting our mind aligned with God's truth in such a way that we can live obediently this day.
0:26.4	As we get started today, I want to ask you to think about something that I observe in our
0:30.8	culture.
0:32.1	It seems like both through marketing and
0:34.4	through education and through the articles that we see, there's this belief that
0:38.6	new is better. Whether it's a new product or the latest research or this new book that's really hitting
0:46.1	the shelves and just flying off the shelves rather because it's so popular, new is better.
0:52.3	But is that really true? Is that really true? Today we're going to find out that the old ways of wisdom
1:00.0	are actually something we need to be pursuing much more than the latest greatest thing.
1:06.0	We're going to find that out in Proverbs chapter 8 verses 22 through 31
1:11.0	as we continue this series wise among fools. But before we get their friends, I want to ask
