Summary

In this 3-part series, Dr. Michael Youssef puts Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Scientology to the test—detailing each of their histories and belief systems and encouraging believers to discern the difference between these false religions and the infallible Word of God. In order to be a discerning person, you must know the Word of God, believe the Word of God as the absolute Truth, and test everything and measure everything by that Word—because if you don't know, believe, and test, you could fall prey to some of these false teachings that are deceiving the world today.

0:00.0	Tom Cruz, the actor, who belongs to the Church of Scientology, had been refused entry into Germany.
0:08.9	And then later on, they said that he can enter into Germany, but only in certain places he can film other places he can't.
0:16.5	And the reason, he belongs to a dangerous cult, because he belongs to the Church of Scientology.
0:24.3	And I thought, wow, in Europe.
0:26.7	But dangerous is true.
0:30.0	Some of their members have been involved in espionage, kidnapping, blackmail and conspiracy.
0:36.1	In fact, Earl Davis points out that back in 1979,
0:40.2	nine of them were convicted in the U.S. court of conspiracy, including the wife of the leader.
0:47.2	And that's one of the reasons, but it's not the primary reason, why I've chosen the
0:51.8	Scientology, the Church of the Scientology, as the last in the short
0:56.3	series of messages that I'm calling it, learn to discern. But really the main reason is because they're gaining
1:05.2	greater and greater influence upon the movie industry. They're gaining greater and greater influence.
1:12.7	Why Scientology focused primarily on Hollywood, on the movie industry, and on the television
1:20.4	and the media? Well, first, because Scientology founder founded it upon individualism and personal power, and that's what
1:32.5	Hollywood is all about.
1:34.3	Secondly, at its very core, Scientology is about fantasy, and that's where all these actors
1:41.2	live in Fantasyland.
1:44.0	But their impact is not only felt in the movie
1:46.2	industry, their doctrine and their influence is felt in the music among musicians, well-known
1:52.4	musicians. I want to get into the names. Motivational speakers buy into the Scientology mindset.
1:59.5	And believe it or not, some even Christian motivational speakers,
2:03.3	albeit they add the name Jesus, so as kind of distinguish themselves from the Scientology proper.
