I know it's not spring yet. We're barely out of the hardest part of winter and the ice on my driveway is I'm sure only temporarily melted

But the air outside is starting to get that fresh spring smile

The geese are circling over the river, and I'm starting

to get that itchy spring fever feeling.

Something about these undecided spring days, not quite nice, but no longer nasty, always

seems to make me fidgety and undecided too.

I don't really have a desire to go outside in the wind, but I still have a hard time sitting down and focusing inside.

My writerly procrastination skills, usually under firm control, sneak out behind me and send me down never-ending rabbit trails of

important internet research that has more to do with finding a reasonably priced hardwood

framed soap up for my basement remodel than it does with anything to do with riding.

One thing I'm trying to do this year is be patient with myself instead of getting upset with my rabbit trails.

But that's a challenge in itself.
