Join me, your host Nora Spurling, and your favorite paleobotanist, Dr. Ali Baumgartner, for a whole new season of enthusiastic chats about plants. Our first episode drops on May 7th, just in time for spring. This season, I'm going to be

asking Ellie questions like, what's a berry anyway? So you're telling me that an orange is a berry?

An orange is a berry. A very specific kind of berry. Dang. Okay. And how does a forest form?

The weeds come in and then they grow up and maybe shrubs come in and they get a little taller

and then the trees come in and that's when it starts really changing.

This process can take years to even decades.

Just like last season, this second season is going to be a total of 12 episodes releasing

every two weeks. And just

like last time, in between, there will be bonus before we leaf episodes for our lovely

supporters on Patreon. This season, we're doing something new. I'll be running a plant-themed

book club called Reading Between the Pines. Patrons can vote on the books

will read, and everyone can join the book club meetings on Discord at the end of each month.
