| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the podcast is dedicated to making you a faster cyclist the ask a cycling coach podcast presented by trainer road coach Jonathan Lee we have a different crew with us here today I'm excited for it we have I'm gonna get it right this time because we have it written down and plus the black bibs racing Zavia drain. |
| 0:16.4 | Yeah, good job. |
| 0:19.3 | It's up. We have clip bar racing's Pete Morris. How's it going guys welcome back Pete I feel like it's been a really long time for you but I could be wrong. |
| 0:29.3 | I think it's I think it's been a couple months at least. So yeah, this is sweet. I'm excited to be back. Good to have you back and then the regular for the podcast I think as of late. |
| 0:40.3 | We have Santa Cruz bicycles keegan's months and what's up Keegan. I guess before we get any further into the podcast a couple things you can submit your questions to the podcast at trainer road.com slash podcast. |
| 0:52.3 | You've all you all have been doing that for I think five years now six years and it's amazing and please keep doing it we are so grateful for it's just really cool. |
| 0:59.3 | So that's where you can submit the questions that we end up building this podcast out of every week so you can head over there and do that can also subscribe to the successful athletes podcast we just had episode two of Amber's kind of career retrospective that we did where we talked all about our cycling career. |
| 1:16.3 | We published episode one where we talked about her swimming career and that has one of the most positive responses to any podcast you ever made. |
| 1:24.3 | Which is a super exciting and the second part to that is where we really get into the stuff that's that's hyper relevant for all of us is cyclists so check that out you can subscribe to the successful athletes podcast in the description below in this podcast or in this YouTube video or you can just search it on any podcast app and find it. |
| 1:41.3 | And also the science of getting faster podcasts and we're working on new episodes for that as we speak which is exciting. |
| 1:48.3 | In addition to that I want to mention the fact that adaptive training is now an open beta so Pete do you want to describe what so the difference in closed beta open beta what that means for people. |
| 2:00.3 | Yeah so closed beta is pretty much we pick and choose who is who are allowed to join the the beta and we kind of put artificial limitations on maybe there's different characteristics about the writer or. |
| 2:13.3 | Like time time from a ramp test all sorts of different characteristics and we restrict based on that to kind of get a really specific usage for whatever work for whatever we're testing but open beta everybody get in everybody run it through its paces and that way we can get all feedback as quickly as possible which is the best kind. |
| 2:32.3 | So you can do that now just go to train a road calm slash at and you can check out all the different stuff that you need to do to be able to get access to it and anybody gets it right now which is really exciting so. |
| 2:43.3 | That's good stuff so in addition to that as well just know that still in beta so that means that you know things there will still be bugs as we're figuring things out we made a huge amount of progress the closed beta but the open beta it's just you know it's going to take time and that's that's how it works so if you see any bugs. |
| 3:01.3 | You'll go through the whole process but you can let us know it support at train your road calm and we'll be able to help you and solve that so it'll be all taking care of there. |
| 3:11.3 | And now with this and where we're at now we need to take some time to talk about ledville key in because so. |
| 3:19.3 | Nate and I have wanted you to do ledville you also wanted to do a little but Nate and I have been like saying like you need to do it for a long long time now because we figured that you would win and you won but we I had so many podcasts listeners reaching out to me going like I guess he is fast to beat lock and Morton and I realize that people just think we're blow and smoke and that's it like you're fast for us but you're not fast in the general population and turns out you're pretty fast so I want to talk about ledville and I also want to talk about break epic. |
| 3:48.3 | Because you did those back to back you just carried on which was way not earlier than lead boat which was getting all the fame I think it's way tougher to do ledville and then break epic but. |
| 3:58.3 | I agree yeah yeah you're still tired by the way from it. |
| 4:03.3 | Yeah actually felt pretty good yesterday I think we're starting to turn corner yeah and how many days has it been since your since your the final stage of break up. |
| 4:12.3 | I break finished on Friday okay so yeah took Saturday off drove home easy day Sunday and it's basically just been easy days since and today like teeny bit more we're just doing two hours instead of like 60 90 minutes of zone one so yeah starting to roll back up. |
