2:07.0 | At least y'all spend more time with him than I do, that's the only time I get to see him. But I'm kind of excited to get to actually interview him. So let's tell folks about him. |
2:14.0 | Yeah, General Lewis is a guy that has a strong military pedigree. He's a retired two-star general, a major general. He goes back into the Vietnam days. He was an artillery guy. |
2:26.0 | I think he told me that he has personally been there for the firing of one million rounds of artillery. I can't even imagine what that is, but one million rounds. And so he is a great military leader. |
2:39.0 | After he got out of the military, he did fantastic in business, very successful in business, started some businesses. They've done very, very well. |
2:47.0 | But he has never, ever divorced his faith from anything that he did. He was a strong, open, outspoken Christian as a soldier. He is the same as a businessman. |
2:57.0 | And he is very concerned that really Christianity have an influence on the culture. And so as a result, the community where he lives, he tries to model very things. |
3:08.0 | He wants to see the nation do. He doesn't just talk about what we need to do to fix the nation. He works in his community to get things done. |
3:16.0 | Tim and I have gone in and spoken for him in community meetings. And he gets churches to reach across church lines and hold hands to cooperate on greater value issues. |
3:26.0 | Doctors find, keep the churches with their doctrines, but on community things and influencing and biblical influence, man, hold hands, let's do things together. |
3:35.0 | And so he's been a very, very good leader, been able to bring people together from diverse backgrounds, get them cooperate for a greater good. |
3:42.0 | So it really is a terrific guy in so many ways, not only because he's a warrior in the military area, but he's a warrior in the culture area as well. |
