We had a lady who we met, who'd lost her daughter in the mass of chaos and uncertainty

on that border.

And subsequently, a sergeant major from my engineer regiment came up to me and said, I think

we found Iona. I think we found this little girl. To be honest, I need to be careful

what I'm saying here, but actually in a way, breaking international law because I moved from Albania into Macedonia and got my helicopter,

put the little girl in helicopter.

They got hold of the mother and the two other little children that she had and brought this little

girl into the tent.

And I tell you, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

I mean, it was just wonderful, wonderful moment. Welcome everybody. This is Simon Gilbo with Inspired. It's great

us, I am sick to death of being relentlessly bombarded by a narrative in the press that

is all, it's negative, it induces fear and cynicism and angst and anxiety and that's the last thing

we need. You know, when you watch the news or listen to the news, you're letting someone else

curate all the bad stuff going on the world. And yes, there's loads of bad stuff, but there's

also loads of good stuff and there's great people that have lived life well. And I've got no doubt that you're going to be inspired this week because we've got with us, Major General Tim Cross CBE. I know you're not worried about those labels, Tim, but it's great to have you on. Thank you. Thank you, Simon. And you're quite right. I often say to people, stop listening to the news and the media because they always tell us we're all going to be dead by Friday. It's a very negative world we live in. And it's great to be involved in, you know, helping, hopefully, helping to inspire people and to bring them closer to the good Lord.

Yes, wonderful. Well, I'm not going to go through your CV because if I read out your whole

CV with that'd be half the podcast gone. But you served in Northern Ireland. You've been,

you've involved very close up in the Balkans conflicts, that's Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo, in the Gulf War,

sort of, is it, about 36 years in the military itself, and then post-military, very involved in,

well, being quite outspoken in terms of some of the stuff that took place, but very engaged

of the media. You've got so much to talk about. So let's just get cracking. Let's go back
