and screenwriter. She was founding editor of Francis Ford Coppola's literary magazine, Zoetrope.

She also worked for a time years ago at JFK Jr.'s magazine, George.

Thank you so much, Doug. I'm so happy to be here. Can I make one slight comment on your

introduction, which is totally lovely? But I should just say, especially in case she's listening,

I was not technically the founding editor of Zoetrope.

I was hired as the intern to make coffee for the founding editor, Adrian Broder.

But because, you know, Coppola, I mean, we could spend an hour just talking about him,

had this real vision to create this publication.

And he'd hired one woman to do it.

This woman is still a dear friend of mine, Adrian Bruder, and I think I harassed her until she hired me.
