Ladies and gentlemen this week, Jim Jordan, you know him. He's the congressman who doesn't have a jacket.

He is the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee under the current regime, and he referred for possible prosecution to the Justice Department,

the case of one Mr. John Brennan, who used to be head of the CIA, and Jim Jordan accused

Brennan of lying. And before Congressional Committee, Brendan went on TV to deny it.

Knowing Jim Jordan, you might think,

three of those.

But the memory hall has another story to tell from the Guardian in July of 2014, reports emerged this week that an internal investigation by the Central Intelligence Agency's inspector general found that the CIA improperly spied on U.S. Senate staffers who were researching the CIA's history of torture.

Given that fact, says the Guardian, it was hard to conclude anything but the obvious John Brennan blatantly lied to the American people.

The fact quote, the facts will come out, Brennan told NBC earlier,

like three months earlier, after then Senator Diane Feinstein issued a blistering condemnation of the CIA on a Senate floor,

said Brennan at the time, let me assure you, the CIA was in no way spying on the committee or the Senate.

Unquote.

After the CIA Inspector General's report completely contradicted Brennan's statements,

he apparently was forced to apologize privately to Intelligence Committee chairman,

both the House and Senate, in a meeting described as tense.

Of course, that's past tense.

Now we're in present tense.
