This is LeShow, and at this point in time, I and a guest are going to examine a new definition for an old word.

Usually it doesn't have all the best connotations, leakage, except in journalistic circles where leaks are good.

But otherwise, probably to be avoided.

Gary Marcus is my guest again.

He's a familiar voice to the show listeners.

He has been a highly educated and

specific critic of the current state of so-called artificial intelligence. And for years,

he has been derided and denounced by the acolytes and hypesters in that world.

This year, he is enjoying some vindication as predictions he has made have come true,

and the pace of so-called improvements in artificial intelligence have slowed down.

But this week on his substack, he shared the results of some scientific investigations

that blew my particular mind, and I wanted to share that mind blow with you.
