She unveiled her latest business endeavor this week a luxury whiskey.

Inspired, we're told, by her prohibition busting great-grandfather promising an unexpected take quotes on American

whiskey the drink is named Sir Davis in honor of the singer's

paternal great-grandfather. He was a prohibition era moonshiner. Quote, when I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my

love for whiskey was fated, unquote, Beyonce.

The website for the whiskey features a handwritten letter from Beyonce to her great-grandfather saying his quote

legacy is a force that drives me unquote.

Beyonce was involved in designing the bottle,

which features a bronze horse logo representing the Houston-born Stars, Texas Roots, according to CNN.

It was described as years in the making, although she's come out with a couple of country-flavored

albums in recent years. And it's the latest development in a story that really first caught my attention a few years ago when Madonna signed a deal to endorse either a whiskey or a vodka and one of the

Hollywood trade papers announced the deal as Madonna joining the ranks of
